The family and I went to a backyard birthday party today. It had everything that was needed for a good time: sprinkler, swing set, slide, cake, ice cream, bubbles and that play dough type stuff that makes a fart noise when you play with it ( that was what kept the husbands happy.)

This is my daughter forgoing her spoon in favor of shoving the ice cream in with her hands.I took a lot of pictures of feet today. I loved how the grass stuck to the kid's pigs.

Above are my children playing on the top of the slide. Below, we are trying to wash off the kids before they drag grass back into the house.

I got to just sit and watch the kids today. It was nice. Sitting in the shade, watching the kids run around, taking a picture when the mood hit. I couldn't check my email every five minutes. It was nice and very grounding. It really made me realize what was important and what could wait a bit.

I need to quit panicking about where I am at in trying to start a business - it will come when I am ready. I need to pay attention to these kids now, or else they will have no need of me by the time I realize just how much I need them. I guess now is the time to play. I am going to enjoy this summer. It is the last one I have with my boy where he is all mine - he starts first grade (all day) in the fall. My girl isn't far behind. Very soon I will have all the time in the world to work my a** off. Now I have two kids that I love so much I can't stand it. I have friends who I need to invite over for cookouts. I have a lot of pictures to take. I have plenty to do.
